Can't keep this kid in one place anymore...

LEONARD CRAWLS! This kid is one the move, and I mean in a BIG way. We put him down this morning and two seconds later he's pulled himself up on the ottoman and is playing with the remote controls. :-| So, I give him till about 11 months and he'll be walking. For now we're just enjoying watching me crawl all over the house.

The other night was fun. After bath time Leonard and I were playing on the bed and I got him on film laughing his little butt off! :-) I also got some shots of him wiggling around on the bed too. Enjoy.

We have the happiest kid on the planet....seriously

So, last night, before Erin got home, Leonard and I were playing on the floor and I got a couple shots of him right before I got the video of him speeding across the floor on his tummy. I swear he is the happiest kid I've ever seen. He does have the occasional fit, but for the most part this is how we see him every morning and every evening. He makes us all smile each and every day.

I finally got Leonard on video crawling! Well, more like dragging himself across the floor, but he's still moving like you wouldn't believe!

Leonard and his apple

This is an old video that I got off the memory card from the other camera, but I had to get it up here. It's priceless. This was about a month ago, maybe a little longer. We started giving Leonard apple slices to "play with". Now a days he's getting the hang of grabbing things and getting them to his mouth no problem. But when we shot this he was still in the learning process. Enjoy.

So we snagged this little video yesterday of Leonard walking (with assistance of course). What really freaked us out was to walk into his room and find him STANDING UP in his crib. So, we snagged a shot of that too. He's growing up too fast!

New Camera New Photos

I'm sure everyone will be overjoyed to know that I broke down and bought a new camera this weekend. So, we've got some new photos. Some are from this weekend's Irish Festival at Metro Park. We went with some friends and had a great time listening to the Irish bands and watching the wrestling and boxing matches. Enjoy.

New Work and a Chapter closed

I've finally gotten some new work done. This tattoo has been about 2 years in the making. But, it's funny how, having it done at this point in time, marks the end of ten years of my life. I've closed the book on so many things in life, so many things that I've gone through, experienced...it's been a short but fruitful ride. And now, a whole new story in my life is starting fresh. I'm now the head of my own family. My wife, my daughter and my son are counting on me to be the leader, the provider, the couselor, the friend and the priest.
It's an amazing feeling when you reach an age when you finally discover what you're hear for. It's different for all of us. For me, being the man of my family is why I'm here. It's what I'm meant to do, but not just in the role of Father and Husband. But also, Son, Brother, Friend. These are all roles that I take on faithfully and with joy because it is, again, why I'm here. So for all of my family, this piece is for all of you to show you my dedication and my love and my faithfulness to my family. I love all of you.

Random Photos for your Viewing Pleasure

I figure, it's been way too long since I poseted anything, so here are all the photos that I wanted to post with funny and entertaining updates, but simply have not been able to get around to it. It seems as though, as I get older, the more busy I get. It's a very strange and vicious cycle.
So, here is the breakdown. Leonard is now 7 months old. He had his six month check-up a couple weeks ago and is still HUGE! I mean, the kid is just LARGE. Just over 20 lbs, 18.5" head and he's 29 inches tall. What the hell!!! If he didn't take so much after me, I would swear he's the mailman's kid. So who knows where he gets it from. Anyway, so then we had a spur of the moment trip to Connecticut to see the family. Popop passed away just before he was able to meet Leonard. Even knowing that he is no longer suffering and that now, at least, he can watch down on us and smile, him not seeing Leonard hurts the most. But Bopchi got to spend a ton of time with him and that was so important to me and Erin. So the trip was good under the circumstances. I got to see a lot of family that I have not seen in many many many many years and everyone got to drool all over Leonard (it's ok he drooled on them too). And there was plenty of snow to play in.
Now we're in full swing with the new year. Lots of things are going to be happening. Stay tuned.
