Normally, I consider myself to be a pretty active, energetic guy in better than average shape. But I've noticed something lately that is a little disturbing and may be cause for concern. We've all been out in public before, and you see the older guy bending down to pick something up, or to take a seat, and he makes noises when he does these things. Usually these noises are some kind of expletive such as "Oh my goodness", or a simple "Ugh". Well, I've noticed that I too make these noises at times. Perhaps it is now that my birthday is receding rather than approaching and the middle of my life seems much closer than it once did, but I am beginning to feel the beginnings of "aging".
Now, many of you may think that I am simply mad to be feeling the pains of aging at the tender and not so ripe age of 28, but still, it's there like a dark specter hovering in the corner waiting and watching. Ok, maybe not, but it's still a cool image. ;-)
Seriously though, my one hope is that I can at least maintain my current level of energy for when my son grows up. Right now it's great with Alexa, because I can do things. We can ride bikes and run around together, but how much running am I going to want to do at 40? Maybe by then they'll have found some new and amazing plant in the rain forest that keeps us young forever. Wouldn't that be nice? HELL YES IT WOULD! :-) Well, for now, I suppose I'll just have to keep my self in the gym and hope that father time will skip over me for a while.
Until next time, children, stay funky, stay loose and always do what makes you feel fuzzy.
Ciao.
